Note that we define a crossover as an SUV, as most buyers use the terms interchangeably, but note that a “crossover” is actually a vehicle with a car-like structure, as opposed to a sedan-like vehicle. which is traditionally defined as “jeep.” In other words, we consider all crossovers to be SUVs, but not all SUVs are crossovers (especially the full-size ones and some in the luxury flagship range).

The Hyundai Palisade is technically related to the Kia Telluride, and of course choosing between these two well-executed family car pairs can be humiliating. Or really, whichever you think looks better. For its part, the Palisade has a very nice look that is well seen in the Limited trim level and a calligraphy that can easily compete with a real luxury SUV. The main reason for this is a modern, well-crafted interior that not only looks good, but also has useful storage, easy entertainment technology and more space than almost all competitors. – big kids and even adults will enjoy that third row, and you can store a lot of things behind the third row of seats. Hyundai’s driver assistance and safety technologies are also among the best used in the industry. If there’s a big hole in the game, it’s the lack of a hybrid powertrain or a more powerful version.

The Kia Sorento essentially has the exterior dimensions of a two-row midsize SUV, but manages to fit a third row for those who might predictably need it occasionally, but not often enough to fit it. , thirsty and more expensive cars. cars like Kia’s Telluride. There are actually those who think that bigger is not better. And for its part, the Kia Sorento is attractive for many other reasons. It was completely redesigned in 2021 and featured a revised design to match, but not copy, the successful Telluride. If you’ve already read the description of the Hyundai Palisade above, you’ve already been informed of the Telluride’s technical similarities and that they share the same basic strengths: space, technology, quality and price. They also do this to a greater extent than their competitors. Of the two, the Kia Telluride has received the most awards as its design seems to appeal to many. In short, style is binding. The Telluride and Palisade may be great, flagship three-row crossovers, but their fuel economy averages 21 mpg combined. The Toyota Highlander Hybrid, on the other hand, gets 35 mpg combined. The difference is as great as it seems. In addition to the environmental benefits, you’ll save an average of $850 a year with a Highlander Hybrid engine, according to the EPA. When you consider that it costs just $1,400 more than a comparable V6-powered Highlander, you’re looking at an incredibly quick payback compared to today’s gas prices.
